For a project Im doing I have to create a piece of popular culture, like a song, TV show, film or computer game, etc. And Ive chosen to create a computer game. Now Ive decided to make one based on the Firefly TV series. Yes Im fully aware one is already in production, but that has nothing to do with the characters of the series or film. Plus that ones going to be a MMORPG, mines going to be for the PS3 and PC.
Now its an RPG and you will take the part of a new character and you can chose your sex; male or female. You join the Serentiy crew as they stop off on a planet and get into a spot of trouble. You show up just in the nick of time to help save Mal, Zoe and Jayne. They are thankful and you ask if you can use their ship as transportation to a certain planet.
Of course its not going to be that easy as the Alliance are already chasing the ship Serenity and also you, which becomes clear later on in the game as a twist. You cant pay your way on the ship, so when a job comes in, you have to accompany the team in order to pay for your journey. So lots of nice sidequests there. Think Final Fantasy 12!
Ive still not 100% yet, but Im hoping to put this idea forward for my essay. And basically I want to know is would you play it? If you want to know more about Firefly or the movie Serenity to give you a more clear idea of what Im talking about, use Wikipedia and type either phrase in!
