Windows 7 -NEW WINDOWS-

yeah, they have been releasing pre betas for half a year now, and a month ago the official beta. you can still download it and get free keys, which work till august.
already the pre-betas were amazing, using as primary OS now, its pretty sure that it will make everybody want to leave XP and Vista (have all of them installed but still prefer win7)
recommend everyone to try it out :P

Oh, awesome! It's just like Windows Vista, but it won't take up 38% of my system resources (but maybe this is just 'cause I only have 4GB of RAM) idling, doesn't make me click "YES" as excessively on UAC windows every time I want to install a program, boots up a few seconds quicker, AND only costs me like $200!

The OS itself doesn't really piss me off, it's just the fact that it's pretty much just an upgrade for Vista to what Vista should have been that I have to pay full price for. Well, would have to pay full price for if it weren't for my major which gives me access to it for $30, but still. >>

The only thing I see that I really don't like is the taskbar. Granted, I haven't used it, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the current taskbar. It just seems like a malformed, slightly less intrusive dock. And...I can't believe that they're advertising the fact that you can re-arrange the position of the applications in it when that's something you should have been able to do in fucking Win 95.

the taskbar is actually quite awesome....imo
i usually have tons of windows n stuff open, with this taskbar you dont have to really bother closing anything(if you have enough ram to keep them open anyway) so you dont need to have multible desktops (like in linux or macs) to keep things organized.
developers cab add so much more options and controls on the taskbar, cant wait to see what ppl will come up with....

Remember that Vista caches RAM so its not really using it. It will be released when its needed. I have not used Windows 7 yet but going by the beta reviews I will be getting it when it comes out.

Its ok but no way of a leap from vista that make me want to upgrade.
