Wild Arms

Has anyone ever played this series?
I've played and beaten 3 and 4 and loved them.
I just got Wild Arms 1 and am loving it.
This Friday I'm gonna buy Wild Arms 2.
Wild Arms 5 is coming out this summer and I am gonna buy it on release day.

I played the first game a bit I stopt just after the first chapter
Can't remember the name but the man with the pet rat I liked the most
 
His Name was Jack.
He is pretty cool, I like using Slash Rave on enemies.
How far did you get, what do you mean by First Chapter?
 
I love this series! Sadly I sold 1 and 3 some years ago and Im going to try and get them both back. Its freaky as I purchased WA4 today! Sadly theres no UK version of 2.
 
I actually have not played these games, but on the last forum I was on I heard a great deal about them. What type of game is it? Is it an RPG or something?

you get credit's and see the festival
and after that your party is compleet but it is really long ago
when I played it now to come with the memories the intro was very nice
 
Im heartbroken as in 4 as I was on my way to the facilty my game crashed and I had to take it back, get a refund and order it online :(
So I wont be able to continue till Monday.
 
It only got 1,3 and 4 released in this country. For some reason we didnt get number 2 and I doubt we'll get the remake of 1 as its already out in US. It can be popular, its just some magazines dont see it as mainstream RPG like Final Fantasy.
 
I had 3 and enjoyed it. The characters were pretty good for a JRPG, especially Gallows. Never finished it though, got to the last area ( the castle belonging to the little girl or something like that ) and got absolutely annhialated by one of the bosses. I didn't have it in me to train up my party to finish the game. Maybe one day I'll go back to it....
 
Nightmare Castle is Tough.

I beat Wild Arms 1, LOVED IT this is my fav Wild Arms game

Disk 2 in Wild Arms 2, Almost done and lovin it.
 
hi hi, i just thought i'd open up a thread to talk about this RPG series...
i've only played 4 now, and i was loving it..

i'd personally say this game is just as good as FF was

I wouldn't put it in the same tier as FF. The production values are just not there. However, the series has been enjoyable.

I think 2 and 3 were the best personally. 2 had some innovations and improvements on the item system you use in the overworld. And 3 took the western theme way out and innovated the random encounters.

4 was just too....average. It seemed to cookie-cutter compared to its predecessors imo

average... i did feel that the HEX system was quite refreshing...
 
Oh yea. Totally forgot about the hex system. I will say that made the Wild Arms 4 battles better. But I don't think it was that innovative cause I think another RPG used that kind of system before that game. I might be wrong.

I meant average by predictable story, cookie cutter anime character designs, and ok music. The battle system was good, but not enough to put it on par with FF at all.

WILD ARMS!!!
I just finished Wild arms 1 and 2 not long ago.
1 was an amazing game full of adventure and excitement, I gasped when
Rudy cut off his hand
2 was alright, the major plot twist at end was really stupid.

3 was the first wild arms game I played, I don't remember much.

4 was awesome, I loved the characters and I loved the HEX battle system.

I hope they stay with the Hex from now on through the entire series, I know 5 is going use it.
 
I remember playing one of them and getting stuck early in the game. It was for the PS1.
 
Calamity Jane was a character in it and I think it was in some tower. Was quite a while since I played it.
