Which name Do you prefer?

Well after recently discovering that Lenna is called Reina in some versions of the game - or thats what her original japanese name is - which name do you prefer?

Im going to have to go with Reina - although i only just discovered that it exists it sounds much prettier and more princess-like than lenna ever will

Well they're actually pronounced the same way. The r and l are interchangable in the Japanese language are are said the same way. The L actually doesn't exist in the Japanese language so and R is always used in place of it. The R is also rolled so it sounds like rl.

Both names are kinda unoriginal if you ask me.

FFX-2 got close with Lenne in that game. As for Reina in FFV, FFVIII used Raine for Squall's mother which is very similar. I had played both FF8 and X-2 before I played FFV so I had a feeling I had heard similar names in the FF series before.

I picked Reina though just because that it what was on the American version that I played.

I prefer Lenna as it was used the the original and the GBA versions. Reina has only been used for the Playstation version so Lenna is therefore her official name.

Lenna sounds cooler than Reina imo.
