Which items are the most noteworthy?

In my walkthrough, I tried to point out all the most noteworthy items. I wanted to keep my guide concise, so I didn't point out too many items. But I pointed out some because they have interesting effects (like the Fake Mustache), some because they require explanation (like the Cursed Shield), and some because they're very useful but they require you to go out of your way to get them (like the Economizer). I'm wondering if there are any other items that I should note. I forgot the Merit Award, and in retrospect I think I should add it. The ones I noted are below. Can you guys think of anything else that should be added?
