What do you think about the DS lite?

I have to disagree with you guys. I like the Nintendo DS lite better it makes the old version pretty lame and beside it's heavy well not that heavy but you know what I mean.
 
I have a Black DS Lite, which I got from my aunt.:)

The original had a really bulky base, and the stylus on that one is way tiny compared to this one. It's a lot easier to use. More than that, I could light up an entire room with the backlight!^_^
 
The biggest plus with the new system isn't the change of looks (although the iPod-like look is so much better) but the size of the original made it that when playing Mario Kart the corners were digging into my palms which was painful after a while. Much love to the DS Lite.
 
I like the DS Lite more than the original, mostly for it's backlight. The only problem with it is that the D-Pad doesn't "click" when you press on it- meaning the system unpredictably ignores certain button presses. I didn't have this problem with the first DS...
 
I find that the only advatage is the light. Everything else doesn't matter, so I'm ok with the original.
 
The DS Lite is prettier, but I'm going to stick with my bulky, gray, original DS. I'm used to Nintendo trying to get first adopters to buy every successive version of their handhelds (GBA SP? GBA Micro?), so I'll just save my money and ignore it.
 
I adore the DS Lite. I never went in for the original DS. It was ugly and seemed gimmicky. But, like the truth Mac zealot I am, put something in a sleek white box and I will love it. The DS in general is pretty cool, with all the WiFi options, ability to play GBA titles, and wonderful backlight. Coming from an original GBA, it was dramatic.
 
I have the original ds, though, it is pretty much almost done, with its battery life, and the scrren is scrathced to high hell. I am buying the Ds lite soon, and when I do I am going to enjoy it. It is a slicker design, brighter, and smaller than the original
