So what'cha guys think of him? I've been listening to him since i was about 6 and he's one of my favorite artists. His two newest albums (Poodle Hat and Straight Outta Lynchwood) have been kinda meh, but i'm blaming that on the crappy music we get nowadays, it doesnt provide for much inspiration (but White and Nerdy is just pure win). His band also has tremendous talent to be able to clone the parodied songs perfectly, not to mention about half of their material is original.

Also, i never realized it till Al mentioned it at his concert on Friday night, but his song Bob consists entirely of palindromes (reads the same backwards and forwards). Here's the first half of it:

I mean i knew the man was uber smart (he has a degree in architecture), but to make a 2:29 long song that reads the same backwards and forwards...holy crap, that's just insane. It's nonsensical, sure, but how many other people would actually be able to do something like that?

I've always liked Weird Al. (Gah, I don't know too much about him, my boyfriend is a huge fan of him. )Weird Al is a impressive artist. His songs are written really well and he's a funny guy. Hahaha, I love the fake interviews he has with celebrities! I like most of his songs that I heard of. I love Amish Paradise! I heard that Prince wouldn't allow Weird Al to make fun of his songs.

Yes, White and Nerdy is pure epic. I heard Chamillionaire was really impressed with Weird Al. Some parts of that music video were also pretty clever. Hahah, I like the wikipedia 'You Suck' to Atlantic Records.

Havent heard that thing about Prince, but it makes sense considering that Al's never done a prince parody.

Haha, well when he performed You're Pitiful, he wore 5 shirts and took them off one by one, and one said "Atlantic Records Sucks" xD And you know that website for his dog in the White and Nerdy vid? He actually made that instead of having someone else make it.

My boyfriend introduced me to Werid Al's music and he is amazing! I love Eat It, Smells like Nrivana, Like A Sugeon, The Anakin Skywalker song, goes to the tune of American Pie and White and Nerdy!

Well i looked all through the music section, didnt see a weird al thread so i made one.

The Anakin Skywalker song is "The Saga Begins", quite a lovely song, we all had a singalong for it at the concert
