Edit: And...I just realised I added an extra 's' to masquerade in the title....sorry.

Apart from the Final Fantasy series my other favourite game is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Despite the marketing this received in 2004, I don't think many people are actually that familiar with this game. The game revolves around your character (you can choose gender and clan) who is a fledgling vampire who must work to stay alive and progress through vampire society. The story dialogue changes depending on your gender and clan and it can be played from either a first person or third person view.

I was wondering everyone's thoughts and opinions on this game and what clan you usually play. I really enjoy playing the game, I love being able to play a mix of rpg and fp shooter. Its so different from anything I have ever encountered. There is only one bad element to this game and I think its the amount of bugs that went undetected when it was released. I think Troika freaked and released it too early because it was going bust. Fortunately, there is a loyal fanbase out there who continually fix the problems and release extra patches to the public.

As for my character, I usually play either Toreador or Ventrue. I played as a Malkavian once, must say that was pretty fun, trying to decide on what the correct answer to give was a pain in the butt. But I was laughing my ass off most of the time at the ridiculous stuff they were coming up with. I remember a bit of dialogue you could choose that went along the lines of, 'you couldn't beat me even if you tag teamed with Jesus', lmao.

I would recommend this to people who like vampire related games or role playing games with a bit of gore.

I love this game. I played the first one too, Redemption, but that was hard as hell for some reason. I ended up cheating and using god mode in that one just to see the story which I actualy enjoyed. As for bloodlines, my favorite clan is Toreador. I'm a big fan of Anne Rice and Toreador best fit in with the likes of Lestat and Louis. Plus it's a nice change of pace when the answer isn't alway violance.
