I'm sure the name speaks loud enough for itself. Do you hate Tidus? Wanna join the club with the other people who hate him too? Welcome aboard.

Rules:

1 - Obviously you have to hate Tidus. Why else would you be joining?

2 - Don't troll, k?

3 - Tidus fans can come in for a discussion or a debate or whatever, as long as it's civil and intelligent (if I see "OMG HOW CAN YOU HATE TIDUS HE'S HOT", I will hurt you).

OMG I WANNA JOIN! Can I e-hug you?! *huggles* Ugh, I've been WAITING for someone to start this club. I do hate Tidus. I really do. With a passion. He ruined FF10 (along with Yuna....I hate them both). He's just so...ARGH! for some reason he pisses me off. It's a kind od inexplicable hate. He's just....idiotic. It REALLY made my day how at the end of 10 he vanished. I celebrated that moment, heh.

Yes, I just felt that I had to get that bit out. Thank you for making this club! ^_^
 
Yay! My hatin' on Tidus is totally interfering with my Philosophy exam studying, but I don't give a damn. I have finnaly found the place when I can hate on Tidus in the company of other Tidus haters. I feel...like I'm in the Promised Land ^_^

A few of my biggest qualms with Tidus, is how some of my Tidus-loving friends always bicker about how to properly pronounce his name.

"It's TEE-duhs!" "No, it's TIE-duhs!"

Gah! Who gives a damn! He's an idiotic freak anyway!!

And another this is how some girls (and boys T_T) swoon over the fact that he looks or was based on Gackt. *shudder* I hope you're not a fan of Gackt, 'cause I'm not fond of him either. Hey, maybe if Tidus WASN'T based on the Michael Jackson of Japan (heh, I love calling Gackt that XD), he'd be okay...no I'd probably still hate him...what an idiot.

Wow. This is awesome. I've never been this riled up before. This feels good. I can hate all I want and not get bashed.

As for the Gackt thing... well.... I really don't think he looks too much like him. For one... Gackt is hotter. And even though he might look chick-ish, he doesn't speak like one. Tidus on the other hand.... ugh. His voice made me want to stab myself.

However, I will admit that his voice did flow very well with his character. You need an irritating voice for an equally irritating person, after all.

I've got to be the only person in the Final Fantasy community who actually would defend him. I'm taking you up on that offer ^

Firstly, I'd like to say clearly that I don't find Tidus to be the MAIN protagonist in X. I believe that X focuses on Yuna, but from another character's perspective, one who links to Yuna with a strong story. So, to me, he's protagonist #2.

Tidus was a famous Blitzball player in his own Zanarkand before Sin destroyed it. From what we see before said incident, he doesn't "whine", he doesn't "cry", he doesn't even moan (other than the fact that he might be late, which is understandable, is it not?) Even after Sin attacked, when you are progressing through Zanarkand, defeating SinSpawn, he doesn't do any of the above. Oh, there is the exception of falling from the bridge, but hello, who wouldn't let out a scream when falling to their doom?

Tidus is then dragged to a strange land. He is cold, hungry, confused, tired and hurt. Soon after, he is taken aboard a strange vessel and is made to dive underwater for people who do not speak his own language. I recently went to France and I was a little ticked off about the language barrier, so there you go :P

Before he knows it, Sin is back and Tidus ends up somewhere ELSE, again discovering he is, allegedly, 1000 years in the future. He's competive and is thus forced into following Wakka to the Cloister of Trials, subsequently leading to his journey with Yuna. From this point onwards, Tidus becomes more and more mature, learning valuable skills, gaining loving friends and falls in love. People do crazy things when they're in love.

I'm not going to go through each stage of the game because that would take forever. But consider Kilika - he wanted Yuna to "stop dancing", to make all the pain go away. I don't find Tidus to be childish. Au contraire, I think he's more of an adult than your average Squall. I can sympathise more for Tidus than I can for Squall.

Well, there's my five-pence worth. I realise that I'm never going to be able to shift anyone's opinions, but hey, I can try :P
 
I don't think anybody could sympathize with Squall, to be honest...

And as much as I CAN understand why Tidus would act the way he does, that really doesn't stop it from being irritating. The whole "OMG DON'T YOU RUN AWAY FROM ME!" or "HEY LET'S GO DEFEAT THE SINSPAWN IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO!" and of course the oh so cliche "I HATE MY FATHER".... yeah. I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

And that whole scene when he finds out what's going to happen to Yuna was just.... wow. Horrible acting. That made a WB drama look good.

But I see what you mean on the whole "Yuna is the main character" thing. Isn't that kind of like how FF6 was?

Tidus = Typical "I CAN PLAY SPORTS BETTER THAN YOU SO I AM THE LOL" and exactly like his father, who I also find irritating. So as well as being a hypocrite, he's worse than Emo Squall.

I'm hurt... You're not the only one who would defend Tidus... Jeez look at my name I kinda have to... but anyways I'm not sure if there's a point to this because the starter got banned so I'm not gonna try to protect unless someone asks me to... also Riku don't lie in Tidus' defense... He does cry, just ask Jecht... He cries at the last fight with Jecht (Braska's final aeon) and besides he cried tons when he was a kid...
 
It's not worth it Tidus. This girl has been banned, permanently. She has caused way too much drama and chaos on these forums. Just carry on with the other clubs and don't worry about this one. If Tidus haters want to post there, then they are free to.

Okay, he cries once :P Other than that, he only does it in his childhood, but what normal child doesn't cry at some point or another?
 
What's wrong with somebody crying every once in awhile? *sighs* Can you honestly blame Tidus for crying? I mean he had just killed his father for goodness sake. I think if I were him, I would have cried too...I mean seriously, it's no different than when Cloud cried when Aerith died or Squall shedding a tear at the end of FFVIII when he sees Rinoa's helmet shatter in space...*sighs*

lover's TVs.
