I'm watching a show called Cold Case Files on A&E, and theres this thing about a girl getting raped and murdered, and when they finally had the guy, they talked to him, and the cop was like, "This is about a girl who was raped and murdered"

And you know what the dumbass said? "Rape? What do you mean, 'rape'?"

Maybe you should watch something else.

Was he not saying it like he was denying it and that he was the wrong guy?

Maybe, I just found it funny the way he said it, it sounded like he was trying to deny it, and make himself look like a complete idiot who didn't even know what it meant.

It's what you would expect from someone in that situation, it's more likely than him saying "Yeah it was me who raped and then murdered that little girl, yeah, my bad".

Admittedly that would be pretty humorous.
