The Midgar escape

So how exactly did Palmer, The turks, Hojo etc. manage to flee Midgar HQ when Sephiroth's clone apparently killed everyone who had intimate knowledge of the project. Was there some battle just after Cloud and co. was released from there cells that drove the clone off. or did they all just get to a elevator in time. Or is it just a plot hole so what theories does everyone else have.

show me where it says Sephiroths clone - aka Jenova - killed off everyone who had intimate knowledge of the project please.

As far as i am aware Jenova Killed President Shinra and then left - presumably because she had killed the biggest power and was now free to go about her goals.

Interesting question though - ill have to think of a more indepth answer later its nearly 6am here and ive been online for over 15hours so im too tired to think right now

how do you know it was a clone? The fatass said it himself that he saw and heard Sephiroth. Plus the sword that he uses can only be wielded by Sephiroth. tell me, where do you find out it was a clone? How they escaped is probably cuz they hid like the cowards they are.

Its not the real sephiroth - since later in the game you find sephiroth frozen in a block of ice in the northen crator O_0

It is Jenova - who has taken on the form of Sephiroth because he is wakening up - she is being commanded by his will. Now that i think about it Sephiroth Probably made Jenova kill president Shinra because of His hatred for the company.

Yeah jenova was dormant in the shinra building until it was woken up by cloud but i doubt that headless spook could of gotten out of the container without help. sephiroth probably sent a clone do do the dirty and kill the president. I think that the guy sephiroth "possesed" was the shinra captain on the boat, since he can control anybody with jenova cells. And its with these jenova cells in cloud with caused jenova to wake up.

I agree with Johnny Mo!

Sephiroth might have "posseded" the Shinra guard making it easy to release Jenova and kill the President!

He didn´t dispose of the TURKS and the other guys because the real brain behind it all was President Shinra the one who needed to be disposed off!
