Anyone else feel that cartoons (English, I mean) have taken a sharp decline and in fact seem to have regressed over the past few years?
Think about it. Every single year, or half year, new kiddy shows pop up and shows like Blues Clues go on strong, even actually making it into at least 4 half hour time slots. Dora the Explorer goes on for about half the morning, and nothing really good ever pops out until way after 2 o'clock when presumably all the babies are fast asleep in their cribs dreaming of finding clues in a cartoon house.
Anyone also notice how even once proud and decent cartoon shows have turned around 180 degrees and are now catering more and more to the toddler and less to the teens that helped make networks like Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network popular?
I dunno about you, but I certainly classify the Spongebob of 3 years ago higher than the Spongebob of today. Yes, Spongebob was actually pretty decent compared to the moronic runs of the show that the producers have come up with these past few and horrifying seasons.
Opinions? Pl0x?
