Hi there! I don't know how many of you play/have played SWBF2, but those of you that have - assuming you are Final Fantasy fans like myself, This mod for Star Wars Battlefront 2 may interest you.

I'm a big fan of Final Fantasy 10, specifically, and I've been modding Battlefront for a while now. This mod represents hundreds of hours of work, and, while certainly not as robust an RPG as anything Final Fantasy, for the engine it's in it's pretty significant. I'll be releasing it in just the next few days, and if anyone here's interested I'll be happy to post a download link and/or help you with installing the mod (although it'll probably just be an autoinstalling .exe file). Let me know!

Without trying to be too negative I would be careful how much it looks like FFX otherwise SE will have it straight down for copyright. But good luck and I hope it succeeds ^_^

Not too worried about copyright violation, since game companies are usually fans of mods - they bring extra (free) attention to their games and no one's making profit except for them. As long as no one's ripping assets from their games (which this doesn't), they're usually ok. Thanks, though!

I'll only be interested in this if the level will be swarming with bots that look like Tidus that I can blast into oblivion.

But even if not then I'd like a look myself.

Actually you play as Tidus & co., so no dice there. :P

The game initially plays somewhat parallel to the original Besaid level (I forget that I can talk about that here and people know how that is; on Battlefront forums people are like, "Duhhh.... Be-what?"), but once you reach the point where you head down to the dock the game diverges. It's sort've a "what-if" RPG set in-universe.

I see, you should be sorted then. I'm sure everyone who plays SWBF2 will love it...especially the Final Fantasy fans. Awesome work and the screenshots on the other site look very nice. ^_^
 
nice mods there, i have played the original battlefront 2 and i thought that it was very addictive at first and i still play on it from time to time, i hope the final fantasy version will be good
