Square Enix has been talking up casual gaming for some time. Today, the latest manifestation of its burgeoning initiative has been revealed: Flash games, playable on the company's MySpace page.
The initial offering -- available right now -- is "Dive II Hunt: Sorbet's Great Adventure", a side-scrolling collect-a-thon starring the character Sorbet from Final Fantasy XII. You control the winsome little Moogle with your mouse pointer, directing him to collect fish beneath the sea. The goal is to become the world's greatest "Hunter Dive Master", but you'll have to watch out for enemies and Sorbet's oxygen supply. By using gil collected through accomplishing various tasks, you'll be able to upgrade his dive suit and oxygen tanks. Dive II Hunt is notable for featuring original character designs by Ryoma Ito of Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings and Final Fantasy Tactics A2 fame.

Square Enix's second MySpace game, Crawlian, will go live in late April. Users will be able to create and rate their own stages in this unique block puzzle game, in which the goal is to paint over the entire field in as little time as possible.
