Much spoilers about ending.

I decided to make new thread to these questions. In text there maybe bad english ^^

In the game, characters trying to save cocoon and talks all time about it, but in the ending movie, Vanille and Fang transforms to Ragnarok and blow up cocoon , hows that, why? And then all guys except Vanille's and Fang's mark is gone, so their Focus was to destroy Cocoon? Why they still have it, fal'cies supposed to be dead? If i understood it right, the Maker is not the thing who destroyed the world, its Ragnarok. Why Fang and Vanille doesnt wake up from the crystal like the other guys wake, when they destroyed Cocoon?

And Barthandelus and other fal'cies, is there any good fal'cie on Cocoon? Or they all just want to destroy it? Why? I'm little lost with those things :D
What was Barthandelus's really meaning?

First post! =)

Sorry bad english. :D

Barthandelus intention was for one of the l'Cie to become ragnarok to destroy cocoon, which will in turn summon the maker, to rebuild.

The Oerba girls were l'Cie before and Fang became ragnarok and attacked cocoon before and they were turned to crystal before they destroyed cocoon.
No-one really knows their reason for waking, but I think it was to destroy cocoon again.

At the end when they attacked cocoon, they were turned to crystal before cocoon could be destroyed again, thus history repeating itself.

I think they established that regardless of what they do, humanity would have suffered. If they turned to Ragnarok and destroyed Cocoon then the people would die, but if they didn't, war would continue and the people would still die. However, when they transform to Ragnarok they choose not to destroy Cocoon and instead decide themselves that they will save it, Vanille and Fang break free of the Fal'cies intentions and decided their own fate by sacrificing themselves which is why it turns to crystal, the crystal pillar stops Cocoon from crashing into Gran Pulse.

Their focus is changed, when you see their original focus, as you've noticed, it was to destroy Cocoon. When they refuse to do so they turn into Cie'th as they've failed their focus. However, Vanille and Fang aren't turned to Cie'th because Orphan needs them to turn to Ragnarok in order to destroy Cocoon.

This is where the story takes a twist, when the four turn back to normal from their Cie'th state, they state that they all saw a different focus - of saving Cocoon and seeing people happy and laughing. From that point on, you see Vanille and Fang turn to Ragnarok, however, because they've become aware that the Fal'cie are manipulating them, they sacrifice themselves by deciding their own fate to save Cocoon by creating the crystal pillar to stop it from falling and crystallising Cocoon. The keyword here being "sacrifice".

And Barthandelus and other fal'cies, is there any good fal'cie on Cocoon? Or they all just want to destroy it? Why? I'm little lost with those things :D

There probably are good Fal'cies, I doubt they all shared the same intention as Barthandelus. Barthandelus took the view that the world had fallen to ruins and the only way to repair it would be to destroy it and recall the Maker.
