Special Gameplay Methods

The thing I loved about Final Fantasy XII was the amount of different ways you could play the game - solo, low level game, no license board etc. However in FFXIII I was really turned off by the lack of variation - I don't really like the idea of ignoring the Crystarium, so I'm posting here to find out if there are any other special ways of playing FFXIII.

I thought of these on the spot, so I haven't seen anyone tried them. Some may not be possible. But the first one is at least possible. I didn't upgrade stuff till chapter 13 and survived quite well.

-Don't upgrade weapons/accessories
-no shrouds
-no staggering (i.e. limited use of ravager/saboteur)
-no using of synergist role unless scripted
-no using of saboteur role unless scripted
-no using of commando role unless scripted
-no using of ravager role unless scripted
-no using of medic role unless scripted
-no using of sentinel role unless scripted
-no items
-no purchasing of stuff from store
-compulsory to five-star every battle encountered
-no eidolons unless scripted
-no techniques
-turn off auto-battle
-maximise battle speed
-no accessories
-don't collect treasures
