I am playing FF VI advance and I just got out of the Magitek Factory. I was wondering if/when the next earliest point in the game is that I have the option to add shadow(the ninja) to your party as a playable character. He is my fav character and am hoping you can play with him again at some point.

...if I'm not wrong, he's a mandatory character in that area anyway

Just be sure to wait for him at the end, or you'll lose him forever.

Also to get him as a character for good. Wait for him at the end of the floating continent for him to jump off with you. If you jump before him you will never see him again. So you'll make it in the last 5 secs no doubt. Then just go and bet the striker weapon in the coliseum! good luck.
