Name – Gul’Ruin

Title – Legion of the Unblessed

Alignment – Chaotic Evil

Race – Dauntless One (2nd Form)

The Dauntless One Gul’Ruin is the only one of its kind it is unknown where it came from but it is speculated that it was at one point a demon even with that belief the other demons were afraid to go near it, a Dauntless One’s physical strength and stamina can easily match that of 2 or 3 gods of war, even at the current stage of its physical and mental maturity it shows extreme signs of possible omnipotence but at the current stage it is impossible to state whether it will achieve 12 months old let alone omnipotence. See history below for more information.

Gender – Genderless

Age – 7 months

Appearancehttp://s928.photobucket.com/albums/ad121/Sethlol/?action=view&current=Legion.jpg

Gul’Ruin’s primary appearance is that of a skinny winged male human with long jet black hair. Small horns extend up from its skull and its face is a constant moving mass of eyes, mouths and noses hidden behind countless leather straps and buckles. Its colossal grey wings house all the lost and damned souls, their weeping and ever changing faces can be seen silently crying out for help with every passing gust of wind, sometimes it’s possible to even catch a glimpse of a succubus or two taunting and enticing the souls into greater sadness. Gul’Ruin’s upper body is armourless, even skinless, save a few straps, buckles and chunks of skin covering its fingers, wet blood red muscled arms sit at its sides and twitch at irregular intervals flicking small droplets of blood onto the surrounding landscape. Gul’Ruin stands at 8’11 and weighs 742kg.

Attire – Gul’Ruin’s lower body is hidden under a corset of black leather straps and its legs hidden under a skirt of thin wet muscle covering even more straps, more faces of lost and damned souls cry and push away from the Dauntless One merging with the muscle skirt at its feet.

Armour – Gul’Ruin wears no armour because it simply doesn’t need to, the only thing that could be even remotely compared to armour would be the black straps covering its forearms and lower body and even if slashed clean through it would only reveal another layer of straps and buckles.

Personality – Gul’Ruin is a relentless, tyrannous and very quick to anger personality it will go to go to huge extremities to cause grievous bodily harm to others even if it means hurting itself in the process, it will however respect someone’s honour above everything and will only begin an attack once its victim is completely aware of its presence and intentions, in saying this Gul’Ruin will help an individual if it sees the given situation as unfair or important to its own wellbeing.

First Impression – On first impressions Gul’Ruin looks very slim but muscular, it moves slowly and talks to itself more than it talks to others even when conversing with multiple people, Gul’Ruin is feared even by other demon brothers and sisters they will not go anywhere near it if possible thus when amongst even small groups of people Gul’Ruin acts uncomfortable and awkward.

Passive Abilities

Fear Aura: Gul’Ruin’s body naturally generates an aura that stretches out to a 100 yard radius around it, anything within this aura will feel inclined to draw their weapons or ready their defences and although this initially only affects the weak spirited it will eventually over a period of time render even the strongest spirited schizophrenic.

Might of the Damned: Gul’Ruin’s body does not only harbour its own soul but harbours an entire legion of souls whom can be seen pleading for freedom through its wings, as a benefit from harbouring so many souls Gul’Ruin can at any time call on their physical shape effectively shape shifting into a entirely different person (Male or Female) and grow extra limbs even grow a second body as long as the new body remains in contact with it (there is no upper limit to how many extra limbs it can grow), while this does not grant him an accelerated healing rate he can re-grow lost limbs before the original even touches the ground, as an additional benefit Gul’Ruin gains the strength and stamina of all the souls he has consumed making him extremely strong and resilient.

Pick of the Pack: Gul’Ruin cannot be affected by mind altering or mind effecting abilities due to the fact that it doesn’t have one mind it has an entire legion all thinking for it at once, if it’s dominant thought processor has been shut down a second mind will instantly take its place effectively making it immune to being stunned, mind locked in any way, put to sleep and even rendered comatose.

Blessed Vision: Gul’Ruin’s traditional vision has been replaced with the ability to see ones life-force in a complete 360˚ radius as well as their bone structure, their heat signatures and the ability to see in any level of darkness regardless of whether its natural darkness or not.

Active Abilities

Might of the Damned: The active part of the Might of the Damned ability allows Gul’Ruin the spontaneous almost instant growth of limbs (1 per every 0.5secs), even in some cases additional torso and heads (1 per every 1sec), these limbs can grow out of any part of its body (even grow a second body from its hand) and act and are affected just like the rest of the body however if these extra limbs become severed they simply turn to ash and blow away on the wind.

Power Scream: Gul’Ruin can temporarily remove the silencing spell cast on the souls contained within his body unleashing a sonic scream so loud it can shatter even the strongest metals, once the initial blast has been released the sobbing cries and pleas of the imprisoned souls are so depressing even a devil would be reduced to slumping on the ground and breaking out in tears after a matter of minutes.

Strength – Gul’Ruin’s physical body casts an illusion over his true strength when looked upon it looks scrawny and fragile, its true strength is revealed when it begins to flex as its shoulder muscles bulge out so far it becomes hunchback, its bicep muscles become so thick it cant move its hand within a 90˚ angle to its shoulder and its pectoral muscles become so dense they can stop lances from penetrating into the body when they are thrust from a moving horse. Even with Gul’Ruin’s huge bodily growth during flexing or tensing the straps around its body will grow and shrink with its muscles.

Endurance – Gul’Ruin’s second best attribute is its near limitless stamina and energy, this is so because of its ability to share its resilience and stamina with all the other souls contained within its body effectively forcing the souls to bear the damage it sustains allowing Gul’Ruin the ability to ignore most non-grievous bodily damage until very late into a fight (grievous damage being stabbed in the face with a buster sword).
Speed – A huge area of which Gul’Ruin lacks in, where it lacks in speed and reflexes it easily makes up for it in sheer strength and endurance, Gul’Ruin’s lack of speed becomes quickly apparent when it is seen slowly lumbering around. Moving away at speed in some situations would be the best option to take when under prepared for a fight.
Reflexes – Gul’Ruin’s reflexes are augmented by its ability to spawn additional limbs, while it can’t move anywhere near fast enough to dodge a punch it will grow additional limbs to strike out at an opponent during the middle of the opponents attack possibly even make a second body in front of its initial one to take the blow.
Fighting Style – Gul’Ruin’s fighting style is split into two different stances, the first being a weaponed stance, the second being weponless.

Yin Stance (weponless): This stance is more defence based while in this stance Gul’Ruin will not make any attempt to attack its target but will respond to an attack by growing extra limbs and striking the opponent multiple times before they are able to retreat. While this stance executes many attacks incredibly quickly there is not much strength behind it only enough to dent a mediocre plate breastplate.

Yang Stance (weaponed): This stance is the more assault based stance while in this stance Gul’Ruin will act incredibly aggressively and use huge slow sweeping attacks that aren’t hard to dodge but very very damaging. While this stance executes slow attacks there is so much strength behind them that not even the strongest magical barriers can prevent the grievous bodily harm they cause.

Weapons

Worldslayer: Worldslayer is the weapon resting in Gul’Ruin’s hand in the picture above, while this blade looks demonic and twisted it’s actually a holy weapon warped to its masters liking, it was originally a god of wars primary weapon whom had been sent to the underworld to discover what had caused such a monstrous energy wave to disrupt both the mortal realms and the realms of the afterlife and destroy it, unfortunately the energy source over threw the god instantly during the huge conflux of its creation and absorbed most of his powers as its own before becoming the stable creature known as Gul’Ruin. The blade in itself has no abilities save being near indestructible but is used as a focusing point for the holy magic Gul’Ruin can use, the entire blade from blade tip to handle bottom is 8’0.
Magic – When using holy magic Gul’Ruin must channel it through his blade and cannot otherwise use any form of holy magic, however when casting unholy magic Gul’Ruin can only cast it from his hands and mouth.

Unholy

Corpse explosion: Gul’Ruin’s primary unholy spell, this spell requires a nearby corpse or undead body and when performed shoots a blast of black lightning like energy from Gul’Ruin’s hand into the body filling it with colossal amounts of Fel energy before making it explode damaging everyone in the initial blast radius and knocking them back an average of 30feet, this drains next to none of Gul’Ruin’s energy pools but as stated above needs some form of lifeless body to work. The blast generated by the explosion is strong enough to blast apart a well crafted breastplate.

Fel Fireblast: Gul’Ruin’s second unholy spell, this spell is cast from Gul’Ruin’s mouths, when he intends to cast this spell it will be an obvious sign to move back as the straps around his face spread apart revealing his many mouths before a huge cone of black and green fire (reaching a width of 8feet and a length of 20feet) explodes out and burn the souls of those unlucky enough to get caught in the blast just as badly as the blast burns and eats the flesh, once the initial blast is over the remaining fire will continue to burn severely until extinguished by a cleansing spell. This spell does not affect armour so if your completely armoured with no revealed points of skin it will not affect you however if it comes into contact with any living tissue (even plant life) it will burn to the bone incredibly quickly and then quickly grow out consuming more flesh over time until cleansed (the fire consumes 1 cubic foot every 2secs), this attack burns demonic beings just as badly as it does angelic.

Holy – All Holy spell ignore all forms of magical defences.

Retribution of the Light: Gul’Ruin’s main holy ability, this spell is cast from the flat side of Worldslayer when it is on a vertical angle with the tip of the blade pressed into the ground, when this spell is being cast the flat side of the blade shines bright white and a loud deep humming noise emits from the sword before a huge white blade point pushes itself out of the blade, it then pauses for around 1sec and then fires forwards until the blade reaches a full 30m long after which it recedes back into Worldslayer which then stops glowing and can be picked up again. This attack will instantly kill anyone the blade touches the only way to survive this attack it to either dodge it or to have never committed any sin at any point of your life, it takes about 2secs for the blade tip to emerge from the sword.

Celestial Pariah: Gul’Ruin’s second holy spell is the only spell it can cast which helps someone other then itself this spell has an incredibly potent effect which temporarily steals the souls of all allies within a 100yrd radius and hides them within its own body making its allies invincible as long as they stay within the radius of the spell the only downside to using this ability is that Gul’Ruin itself take all the damage for its allies and if its hands leave the hilt of Worldslayer the ability will be cancelled out. While casting this spell Gul’Ruin stabs the ground with Worldslayer, golden cracks appear around it and spread out until they reach a full 100yrd radius and continue to glow until either Gul’Ruin stops chanting or it is knocked away from Worldslayer.
History – Gul’Ruin’s origins are lost in time although it was speculated that he was the last surviving son of the Lost One Novaserramond. When he had originally died as a human he was sent to hell and Novaserramond gave him his right to ascension finally killing the ancient Lost One and releasing a huge energy blast that reached the heavens, when this energy blast was felt the gods sent their strongest God of War Dracyndite to deal with whatever had caused such a powerful disruption, as this god of war entered the realm of the damned he was instantly struck with a huge feeling of dread and when he crossed paths with the huge withering mass of limbs and screaming faces his powers failed him and he was killed and then absorbed into the monstrosity instantly finally stabilising the monsters transformation into something not of the gods or devils but something far more powerful then both. Now Gul'Ruin walks the earth in its stable form until it learns how to ascend to omnipotence.
