Okay, it's been ages since I gleaned for answers on other forums, but I still haven't gotten satisfactory answers from them yet. :rolleyes:

I need you guys' help then. Any tips on how to beat Sephiroth in KHII?

I tried fighting him once and I died in like 5 seconds. I'm hoping there's some kind of reaction to prevent this debacle, but as of yet, I'm kind of tentative in fighting him for a second time. :P
 
He's quite easy once you learn. Assuming you have the non-final mix version start by having all abilities that you want to have equipped. But make sure you have berserk charge and trinity limit. Shortcut reflega, curaga, thundaga and hi-potion.
Be at least lv 55 or more if you are on proud, 50 standard and beginner doesn't really matter lol.
Start by doing the reaction command then use trinity limit. After the limit guard his combo attack and attack him continuously until he breaks the combo. then use trinity limit again. Just keep this up and he will die soon.
 
As Gabranth said, also make sure your level is high and always have hi-potions equipped just incase you need them.
 
You should be around level 80. Have abilities like combo upgrades, leaf upgrade and arial recovery/retaliating slash.
Also, do NOT forget to bring elixers

Maxed out growth abilities such as arial dodge, quick run, high jump and glide are highly recommended.

There's no need to be lv80 otherwise that will kill the challenge.

I also forgot to tell that if you are attacking him when he has 1 hp but you are still in berserk charge mode, use horizontal slash and that counts as a normal attack.
 
Tirinity limit and Berserk is really what keeps the battle going. Be sure to bring some Elixirs because he can reduce your HP and MP to one again. Keep on whacking him away with tons of combos. This is much easier than the first Serphiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1 IMO.
 
Why does everyone swear blind that Trinity Limit is so effective? I've ploughed on through this in Proud Mode and I've yet to find it's appeal in battle, much less against Sephiroth.
 
Well it is the easy route for people who dont know what they are doing .
I managed to beat him at lv 54 on critical mode without trinity limit and berserk charge.
 
Wow to be honest with you I just jumped around and started beating on him. I died a few times and I had to heal some but I beat him without doing all the spcial crap. He was much harder in KHI.

But yea if you play like me all you need to do is keep moving. Once you see an opening take it and keep going at it till he drops.
 
After he does the attack that takes your HP and MP away, he will drop down and do his slide attack (the one with the reatcion command). There will be a pause in between the drop and the attack for you to use an item. Then block the attack and plug away at him.
