you know one thing, the name SeeD, from what i recall, had no real beginning. But what you probably either don't know, or don't remember is that Squall told Edea about Garden and SeeD when he was in the past, telling her they were her ideas. So really it was because of Squall that Edea started SeeD and Garden. i hope that tells you something you wouldn't have guessed.
