Well, RPG Inferno has been voted back in for another try.

To make sure this doesn't screw up, we'll be making applications for members to apply for the staff positions. This is because we don't know anyone who might be suitable for administrating the RPG Inferno, and by popular demand, people want to see it back.

We will now discuss what goes in the applications, what is acceptable, and how many RPG Inferno staff members we need.

For the applications, I would suggest that people write it like a resume--they should include details on what experience they've had with RPG Inferno (the more detailed, the better), where they've worked on RPG Inferno before, how long, exactly what they did, etc. We should also make a note that we're looking for people who will be on regularly and devote enough time and attention to it. Also, we ask that staff candidates be able to work together with other staff members and post as necessary in the RPG Inferno Staff thread.

For now, I guess two or three staff members might be alright.

When we were discussing the banner competition, I suggested to Darkblade that the winner of the competition, as a prize, would receive the status of RPG admin and would be given training. I realise this is not entirely the best solution, there may be no past-experience, which will repeat the problems we had last time.

I agree so far with Angelus on his methods of tackling this situation.

The problem with allowing the winner of the competition to be a staff member is making sure that he or she will be active and interested in doing this. I guess you might say that the person cared enough to do the banner, but the same can't be said for being online most of the time to manage and maintain RPG Inferno.

Though another suggestion would be to allow the winner on staff to do the graphics for RPG Inferno. So now we don't have to spend extra time on training a new staff member; we just need to make sure that he or she will be willing to work with other RPG Inferno staff members and make the graphics required for it.

Hello there

I hope you don't mind me adding my two cents.

Since we are waiting for the final release, we could take a little time thinking about what we need in staff members. I guess we could delegate people to different jobs. I really don't know. The thing that is done most is creating places and bots. The adding of the other things is patchy. It is hard to say. I imagine that the important thing is that the RPG staff communicate well with each other.

As I stated earlier, it would not be a big deal training somebody. If my outline is detailed enough, all that needs to be done is plug stuff in. It is preferred that the person has at least tried the demo game at GZE. To get a general feel of the game. Unfortunately, the demo has not gone very far. But it does use many of the exisitng features. I may even do a test setup of the outline on another site. It depends on the time frame. Also, depends on how much time I have.

So, does that mean you only need people who will be active regularly, and be able to work as a team?

Remember, staff positions, even for being an RPG Moderator requires a certain level of professionalism.

I guess it would be a good idea to discuss what we will be doing with the RPG, since it's not out yet, but if you have the other two RPG staff members now, then you could discuss the details before the final version of RPG comes out, and by the time it's out, you can get it set up immediately. It might save some time.

By the way, I don't think it was mentioned, but we are going to need three staff members, since Darkblade has informed me that the next version of RPG Inferno is going to be really big.

Darkblade installed RPG Inferno v3.0 Alpha 3, so Adamant and I can get started with our setup. I believe that he also has it only opened to himself, Adamant and myself. I imagine other staff members have access also. It is just closed to regular members. So if anybody wants to see our progress, we would welcome any comments.

We will add any custom images, that are needed, after the basic setup is completed. Also, the RPG will probably need to be in the final release version before it is opened to the regular members.

Hopefully, I have understood what Darkblade wishes in the RPG. Hopefully, everybody will have fun with it when it is completed and opened to everybody.

I am not sure at this point. But it looks like Adamant and I are making some headway. I will know more in a couple of days.

Well, what about the RPG images that needs to be made? Remember the day when you mentioned about it? In this case, then I suppose we'll have to search for a few expert graphic designers to join our team.
