Help Rinoa Card

I have a strategy guide and it doesnt help much. When do i battle Caraway to a card game? I just did Tomb of the unknown king and just got back to Deiling City, nothing else. I don't quite understand when you challange him. if anyone can give me a good description I'd appriciate it.

You can challenge General Caraway when he's in his office, either directly after you speak to him the first time...or once you can return to Deling City in Disc Two. You must speak to him and choose "talk about cards".

In order for him to play the Rinoa Card that you want, you must lose your Ifrit card to him first. He'll tell you as such, but I'll just offer a friendly reminder.

well, as the strategy guide says you have to lose the Ifrit card THEN play him again and he'll use Rinoa. You still have to beat him after that. Plus I liked the Ifrit card so I went and got it back from the Mayor or whoever it was that had it. That fisherman or something. Which I didn't understand how he could lose the card to a cardgame with another guy when I was standing in the room the whole time but still Yeah I always played him in Disk 1 right after the Tomb. Just press Square and he'll wanna play you.
