My parents think these are really tough. The poems describe something, you're supposed to guess what it is. See what you think:

#1
Clay lining ice
Quickly we come and go
Open to him that scars our skin
A limb entraps the worthless sea of gold
The final stop before a blue eternity
Whatever is freely left is never freely taken

#2
Raised from the dust
Flesh of an ancient son
In it’s pain we get our relief
All this, and we still never spread it thin
Heart brought to this world only to be hid again
Wisest of the kings yet lower than the servant’s pleasure

#3
Empowered whim
Stands until all is lost
Spirit caught in colored fancy
Breath to take our greatest trust
No taste of victory until it is returned
Iron mast eternal showing a rebel to the sea

#Extra for those who thought the above were too tough-
FFF 7
Long haired guy with a sword
His name starts with the letter "S"
Some guy named Cloud is supposed to fight him
Quite a few members here are named after this guy
If you still can't get it, you must really suck at riddles

well, I think the first might be snow, since it lines ice and comes and goes quickly.

second sounds somewhat like plants.

third is either rainbow or sun.

last is sephiroth!

I know answers, so later I will ask some.

If your sock drawer has 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?

Mom and Dad have four daughters, and each daughter has one brother. How
many people are in the family?

It occurs once in every minute
Twice in every moment
And yet never in one hundred thousand years.

Yet flying swiftly past;
For a child I last forever,
For adults I'm gone too fast.

It can be said:
To be gold is to be good;
To be stone is to be nothing;
To be glass is to be fragile;
To be cold is to be cruel.

If you break me
I do not stop working,
If you touch me
I may be snared,
If you lose me
Nothing will matter.

2 of each?

Mum + Dad + Daughtersx4 + Son = 7

Hmm ....

Yet flying swiftly past;

For adults I'm gone too fast.
Mother?

If you break me
I do not stop working,
If you touch me
I may be snared,
If you lose me
Nothing will matter.
That's obvious: your heart.
