I have a question about the current model of Ps2 that is out right now. The question is are they new models of PS2's backwards compatible with PS1 games still?
Really noobish type question please help.

Yes, all PS2's are backwards compatible with PS1 games, every model, even the old chunky PS2's. PS3 was the only system where it was a question whether is was backwards compatible or not, but PS2's all have it. If there were PS2's that weren't, then it's certainly news to me, I've never heard of that.

Awesome. My older one broke and I'm sick of playing it through my PC. My monitor is nice buts its just not the same. I didnt want to get a new one if it wasnt going to be because I want to run FF chronicles and Anthology all of which I've never played through my TV. So this is great news thanks.
