Question on how to raise max MP

I'm having a real issue with MP- I can only cast spells like, once. It's almost like level 3 (highest spell level I currently have, my characters are only like ~level 12, just got the game) are totally useless.

Am I missing something or do I just need to level up?

Just level up. My level 36 (job level 70) Red Mage has MP of 2 (level 5) to 20 (level 1). Leveling up will also increase the highest level you can use (unless you're a Freelancer). Don't forget to do a lot of easy battles, too, to increase your job level and make your spells more effective.

Just get levels...There will be magic classes later on that can cast a fair bit, but I've observed that Summoner get the most MP, with 13 uses for Level 8 Magic...which is Bahamut.

Yea, your level and your job level has to be much higher to cast more then a spell once.. thats why FF1 was a real pain in the rear cause no one like the MP system of FF1 and III adopted the same system.. so when you level up and gain job levels your MP will go up

actually character lvls have nothing to do with your MP, its just your job lvl. and Raven theres no way ur red mage can be 70 other wise u would be able to cast way more then 20 lvl one spells
