The Crimson Squad backstory, what little there is of it, is the part of X-2 I find most interesting.
I've wound up needing Vegnagun (MAJOR PLOT DEVICE, ugh) for a story, or at least needing to make sure I take some account of it, but one thing's confusing me.
On one of the Crimson Sphere recordings, record #6 -- you can find 'em all on this page -- Baralai seems to be implying they saw not only

So the question is... WHERE was Vegnagun (if we buy this plot at all) near the end of FFX? Mushroom Rock? Or did Kinoc have it moved to Bevelle? Or was the Mushroom Rock sequence all hallucinations seen through the eyes of the resident ghost showing them (as Lenne later showed her experiences to Yuna) what he had gone through in Bevelle?

Shuyin, but also Vegnagun in the cave at Mushroom Rock (the so-called "Den of Woe").
Yet later on,
Vegnagun seemed to be housed at the bottom of Bevelle palace, before it disappears into the Farplane. Plus there are several flashbacks and a speech by Maechen implying that Shuyin and Lenne were trapped by Bevelle soldiers as Shuyin attempted to break into Bevelle and release Vegnagun... UNDER Bevelle Palace.
So the question is... WHERE was Vegnagun (if we buy this plot at all) near the end of FFX? Mushroom Rock? Or did Kinoc have it moved to Bevelle?
