The Board:
Public High School 552 was constructed for a very specific purpose, and in fact was the first of its kind. Like any school it supported the regulations of corporal punishment, had an average amount of students enroll in comparison to nationwide statistics – roughly 4,000 students. It was constructed in New York in the middle of mainland New York City. One thing that was particularly special about this school however was that, instead of for adolescent teenagers in its immediate area district, it ‘served’ across all districts that already had their assigned high school, the reason for this being that Public High School 552 was meant for gifted students so deemed by the government. Students could not enroll to other high schools in this society mind you. 552 was also the most technologically advance school in the USA for six months post its opening. An example of its grandness is that its transport system used to carry students to and fro school and home was infused with local transportation, and for this reason 552 has its own subway station, though granted the station is not on its campus. On the outside, 552 appeared to be your average school for blessed individuals. On the contrary, 552 was quickly dubbed the physical hell of the world by its students, more so than other ‘ordinary’ schools that had corporal punishment.
The truth was, 552 was in fact the modern day inferno of hell.
The corporal punishment at 552 was immensely more intense than any other school in the nation to the point where students were having their bones broken on a daily basis. Ironically, anyone that enrolls with 552 gets free medical care. Either of these facts was successfully repressed by the media however, though no one understands how such was possible, that is they would not understand if they were aware of it.
Alas inner school gangs raised up against the oppression received within the school, escalating mere school yard fights into mass riots which only mirrored the state of the world in which these youths were brought up in. For you see, despite the freedom of their minds, they knew no different. It was the world that had taught them how to act, how to feel, how to express their thoughts and feelings, violence belated by violence. A world which taught its children that by punishing those that did not follow the norm with extreme physical violence, and by doing so telling them that making your neighbor bleed was okay, that an eye for an eye was acceptable, even if it eventually left everybody blind.
Perhaps the question then is; How long will you survive in the hell that is, 552?
