At the moment, the 360 has the upper hand over the PS3 in terms of just about everything. But I have confidence that in time, the PS3 will catch back up to the 360. Sony had better hope at least.

What do you guys think will happen/Is happening?
 
You're right in that XBox has the upper hand right now.
I mean, they have like what? hundreds more games?

But the PS3 graphics are superior and can make more realistic, i.e. natural, effects as I've heard.
I've never actually experienced playing one as my cousin was crazy enough to sell the one he got for Christmas for twice the price. *Oi, that rhymes*

As for the 360, I still love everything about it. The graphics, the game selection, wireless controllers *which I know are not new but have never gotten to play with one*, and online system are simply top notch.
Love the Call of Duty series.
 
Yeah, Microsoft hit the nail on the head with the 360. A few problems at launch but nothing crippling. They have a superior game lineup as well as online service. They are dominating at the moment. Sony NEEDS more exclusive titles.

I wonder if they'll make AC-ish graphics.
Imagine a movie that is inferior to a game console's graphics.
 
Well if any console is capable of producing such graphics, then the PS3 is.

I am really looking forward to Assassin's Creed on the PS3. Like, more than any other game at the moment. Haha.

I have the amazing luxury of being able to work for my father for $10 an hour. Now don't think I don't do any work, I work pretty damn hard most of the time. =D

I've bought myself...

Xbox 360 ~ $400
PS3 ~ $600
26" HDTV ~ $800

I don't plan on buying any other big items anytime soon. Haha.
 
I'd like to say happiness isn't bought with big things but you've convinced me otherwise.

I still can't believe my cousin sold that PS3 instead of giving it to me like he did the PS2. Geez....

Yeah though, the PS3 is well worth the money that it costs I believe, same with the 360...and that nice HDTV. XD
 
It would if they stick to stricly platform games.
Not the online experiment they tried with XI.
 
I think you guys really overestimate FF's impact on gaming. Final Fantasy cannot make the PS3 win by itself. That just cannot happen.

Yeah, true, sad to say.

Unless they make 5 'different' Ff games in the span of a year, that would be something, wouldn't it?

Notice I quoted different as the current ones will probably overlap and the stories will be kinda redundant.
 
5 in the span of a single year would destroy the franchise, frankly that wouldn't make me very sad either. There comes a point where a franchise just needs to die. XD
 
Well yeah, it'll die out in about a thousand years, no big deal.
I want to see the gaming industry reach a point where they can manufacture about a 'new' game a day, then retailing it.

Final Fantasy is timeless, it will never die out.
As long as they stick to their original success formula, they'll hang tough.
XBox though has its heavyweights as well, but the PS3 is more far-reaching.
For example, XBox 360's are rare in the Philippines.
PS3's you can find just about anywhere.
 
While that may be true, they are also $200 more expensive, and while that isn't a ton, it's still enough to turn people off.
 
The 360 definatly has better games out right now (though in the future KH3, MGS 4, FF 13, and VS 13 will be better than anything), the PS3, as a system, is much better.

So PS3 for me.
