Other Military Members?

Although I am still a junior in college, I am seriously considering going into the Marines after my senior year. My father, numerous uncles, grandfather, cousins, all ahve gone through this branch of the military and such so I've got this bias towards the Marines. Hopefully then I can pile up some $$, go into the Criminal Justice field with some more experience, and all that jazz.
 
I actually considered going into the Reserves as an Officer, but circumstance conspired against me :p
 
Circumstances? Well, the only way in hell i'd join the army was with a draft. And if there was a draft, i might do something like join national guards. They're safer.
 
I'm not in the military, but I do have strong ties to it. My grandfather was a seargeant during WW II, he was on the frontlines. He made it back home, but died when I was only 5 years old. I wish I had known him better.
 
Both my grandfathers 'fought' during WWII as well.
The Japanese captured them though.
My grandfather on my father's side died fighting.
They were both heroes in my heart.
 
To know my grandpa lived through the war is a good thought. I'm proud of him, whether or not he's around to here me say it.

4-5 of my uncles served as well, so I have plenty of experience around me.
