Ok i'm not sure if this is the right place to discuss this, so if the forum moderators want to move this thread to a different section, please do.
I found my PC version of FF7 burried in some boxes and i decided to install it and play it once again. I'm running it on Windows XP Pro, just as an FYI.
Anyways, the first time i beat the game, i did it with no guide or anything, and it was pretty much all half assed. This time, i'm trying to go through every single thing in the game.
I'm currently in Disc 1, about to go into the Temple Of The Ancients, but i decided to sidetrack myself to go get Cloud's Omnislash... and i did, but he won't take it! Read the whole thing before you post a reply! For anyone wondering how i did it, i used Cloud and these are the basics:
1. Level 54.
2. Materia:
-nearly master Restore
-nearly master Barrier
-nearly master Heal
-nearly master Counter Attack
-nearly master HP Plus (3)
3. He is equipped with a Murasame for a weapon, a Diamond Bangle for armor, and a White Cape for accesory.
The only thing i used in my items were X potions, which you can get from enemies in Wutai Area, and the ocasional Ether. Everything else was pretty much just attack and Counter Attack to beat the enemies. I also set a Wall in front of me every chance i got, and used Esuna for status attacks against me.
I played the basketball game at the Gold Saucer to get some GP. If you make 10 in a row, you get to shoot once again to double your GP, and if you make it, you can keep shooting. So, getting GP there was the easiest way for me.
I got 255 GP, and then i went to save it in the Ropeway Station. I went over to the Battle Arena and planned on spending all 250 GP to get enough Battle Points. I ended up only spending like 50 GP. I played about 4-5 sets of the whole 8-battle fiasco and i beat all of them all the way through easily, except when i picked the "weapon is broken" slot, that's when it took a little more time. There was one where i picked that same slot like 4 times, so my weapon did like 50 damage. It was pathetic.
Anyways, i got just a little over 54,000 Battle Points or some crap like that to get the Omnislash limit break and i was all excited. I tried to give it to Could and the asshole goes: "I'm not sure, but..."
What the hell?!
Yes, i have ALL of his other limits. I'm up to Finishing Touch, or whatever the hell it is called, and he won't take Omnislash.
Why is that?!
Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is it too early in the game to give him Omnislash? Do i need to be at a higher level than 54? I don't understand.
I called my brother, but he doesn't remember anything. He thinks it's because it's too early in the game maybe.
Please someone tell me what's going on.

And also...
I read somewhere that there was speculation you might have to have EVERYONE'S level 4 limit breaks. But that's ridiculous... first of all, i've seen people use Omnislash without even getting Yuffie and doing the whole Wutai quest, or even getting Vincent, so that can't be true... right?
If that's the case, then i'm screwed because for example... i haven't even used Tifa since before leaving Midgar.
Someone else also said that it's a bug, and that it happens every now and then, especially on the PC version.
