First off: I am aware that the original trailer/teaser (watchable herehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGyVZRHZ2ow)may be completely non-cannon.
Alright, something that has always bugged me since seeing the trailer is the amount of weapons and the obvious power Noctis has. As absolutely epic as it was, gameplay wise it was bugging me. I don't want to be doing such epic things straight off.
However, after some thinking I came up with a few ideas on it:
1. I read on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Versus_XIII (down on Noctis's section) that his telekinesis powers over his weapons are drawn from the crystal. He could very well lose the crystal near the start of the game, forcing him to simply use a normal weapon (as seen in scans)
2. Gameplay wise you can only equip one of the weapons at a time. Noctis may be capable of using such an array of weapons but can only equip one at a time.
3. Using all the weapons may be something like an overdrive.
4. Same as 2 except for plot reasons he can only use them all when near the crystal.
So, what do you guys think?
