need help with side quests

whare do i find the cacti's son on the south bank to free the people on the north bank?


and when its the flood season if you go to whare the cluckatrice is supposed to be their is a side quest whare you have to beat a monster that gives you the ring of the toad when you bring it back to the guy that you are supposd to he says bring it to her.. the ring.. shes close by i can feel her... or something along those lines but i cant find any body else.

does anybody know what to do?

i think the cactus guy turned into a flower in the village somewhere i think. try talking to people in the village (not positive, but i think so)

just wait until dry season and you give the ring to someone in the village i believe (again not positive)

if someone could back me up, that'd be sweet!

The cactoid flower is behind the Dantro's wife's tent, the lady with the sick guy.

The secret area appears after you cut down the white trees along the bank. This is the first hunt that is kinda serious depending on your level.
