I noticed that someone had edited my signature because the image was too large.

Exact size:
536 x 209

Surely to hell that's nothing. Come ON, it's practically impossible to see the 36 x 9 pixel difference. I've had larger images than that, because we were "leniant" if it was only a minor difference. In fact, there are people right now with images larger than that, but because of this "leniancy", I assumed the staff were fine with it.

If it's impossible to see the difference, then how do you think I found out that your signature is over the limit, huh? Anyway, I think that would be unfair to all the other members out there so I ask you to shrink it using PhotoShop (or some other gfx client) OR remove it completely! I'm sorry but a rule is a rule and I can't tell you to violate any of the forum's rules & guidelines. Also please have some respect for those who are running on dail-up connections and lower screen resolution.

The point that I was making is that I've seen others who are -clearly- violating the rule and nothing has been done because we were leniant about it. Sure, I'll take the whole 2 millimetres off each edge, but surely to hell 30-odd pixels wont have made a difference to dial-up users ...

Nothing has been done yet because we couldn't get around to it right away but trust me, we shall soon. It's just a matter of time. It doesn't matter how big or small the pixels are. What really matters is following up the forum rules and guidelines precisely. And if you're following up the rules on this forum already, then you should have the maximum dimensions that are mentioned in the rules page.

And hell yeah, it would make a lot of difference to all the dail-up users out there because of the highly-animated sig you have there right below your plushie.

Fair enough, I guess a rule is a rule. If you think about it, if you were caught speeding one mile over the limit, you'd still be charged. I'm about to upload the new one right now. Sorry to be so nippy

Thank you very much for your understanding!

We are trying our best to warn everyone out there for having their sig over the limit and make sure they follow the sig rules & guidelines which should take a while as it's a bit tough to keep track of them all. Anyway, I hope we can solve this like as soon as possible.
