I'm almost afraid to post these, because as soon as I shared them outside of my circle of friends, I was told harshly and flatly:
1. The music sucked raw eggs.
2. The videos were incomprehensible.
3. They were just random collections of images. (I didn't think they were random -- I'd matched them pretty precisely to the lyrics.)
4. Goth metal sucks raw eggs. (Quite frankly, I am only barely aware of what Goth metal is.)
5. Everyone and their dog's tick uses Evanescence, and it sucks raw eggs.
I will confess I'm not very up on the music scene, since I was raised on the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and the Mamas and the Papas, and got into Men at Work, Queen and Genesis while in school. I had never heard of Evanescence until two weeks ago and thought it made an interesting change from my usual Enya and Loreena McKinnett. Yes, I'm a music cretin.
So here we go. My first fanvid (with apologies) has a teaser/ad for its closing credits, but I'm honestly more interested in your opinion of what I need to do to improve my fanvid-making.
Title: "Lulu's Sin"
Summary: Alternate ending (or sequel) to Final Fantasy X. SPOILER WARNING.
The second one is the one that was universally panned, so you've been warned.
Title: Crash and Burn
Summary: Auron/Lulu-- sort of. Those two are a little too duty-focused to have much time for romance. EVEN BIGGER SPOILER WARNING. MUCH more comprehensible if you know the Evanescence song "Bring Me to Life" and/or have the lyrics to follow along.
So. I've got the idea that my choice in music needs work. Any OTHER concrit suggestions, or should I just resign myself to the fact that I'm not bad at icons, banners and fanfic, but fanvids aren't my forté?</div>
