Okay, I know this is mainly because Japanese always get the game first so they program the lips to match the Japanese script and not the English one. Do you think they will ever find a way to fix this or make this less of an issue. It's not that big of a deal. But it'd be nicer if they wouldn't keep moving their lips after they're done speaking.

They may, but then the games may take even longer to come out, and some of us dont want that. But it would be nice if they could, whilst keeping the release date the same.

If Square started working on the English script at the same time as the Japanese script, and made the animations fit both, that would be sweet. That's what they should be doing anyway. Taking the huge fanbase in the west into consideration, they are quite honestly sloppy when it comes to the dubs.

Damn them video games and their lack of realism! lol, but seriously, I'd prefer it if all games just allowed for original dub with English subs. "Problem" solved, eh?

It doesn't really bug me, really. If they did make it so the lips were in sync with the words for the English Dub, it would just be another task, and therefore we'd have to wait longer till the game is released. At least it ain't full of jokes, referrences or the like that only the Japanese would understand, that's how you gotta look on it, but that's just my opinion. I honestly look on the lips not being in sync as the littlest thing, it just doesn't bug me.

It doesn't bother me at all, and I really don't care. As long as they get the translation RIGHT
Wouldn't we end up waiting longer if they had to fix it to get it in sync? It takes long enough to translate and do all the voice acting without worrying about that too

I can't say I've even noticed it, but chances are they're just being lazy or they don't have anyone who is able to do it, though it shouldn't take too long as it's only cutscenes that would need editing really, I know with the latter some guy got interviewed at TGS last year and the company he works for, or owns, insist on doing the lip syncing though you need people who specialise in it, apparently >_>

In some games, like FFX and FFX-2, it really annoyed me.
On the other hand, I hardly (if at all) seen such thing in FFXII.
Most of the other FFs don't have voice acting anyway.

So I don't really care. BUT if they could fix it without delaying the game's release date, it'll be great.

Not really. There's just something about Japanese dubs that sends me into uncontrollable fits of laughter at times :P It's not the Japanese language as much as the general style of Japanese voice-overs. Overly gruff male voices, squeaky female voices, and all those "woah"'s, "uh"'s, and grunts that the Japanese seem to be so fond of in their games and cartoons.
