One thing that I really loved with the first game was picking up the game on a day where I had some of the good calender bonuses and going into duel coliseum while listening to a podcast, watching TV, or just doing whatever else. The coliseum was addicting, and it was an easy way to gather all sorts of good stuff.
To my huge disappointment, Duodecim no longer has the coliseum. Ya, I know it has the labyrinth, but the lab sucks. It doesn't allow you to take practically anything out with you, you don't have all of your items to begin with, you only get one chance per party member unless you get a revival thing, and it doesn't grant you any of your calender bonuses.
I know that now in this game you can play arcade mode with your customized characters, and that they will gain stats and you can win items and all that, but it doesn't seem as efficient as the coliseum was, and the fact that you can't alter your character in between fights and you don't collect items until the end of the five rounds is a huge bummer. Also, its simply not as fun as the coliseum was.
So ya, is arcade or labyrinth actually the better option, or something else? If it is labyrinth, anyone have any tips, because I suck at it?
