Just wondering what you all have to say about this: The movie itself and the very idea of taking law into your own hands to protect that which matters most.

WARNING: Use of profanity.

Just a favor to ask before you comment: There is absolutely no need to insult whatever faith, ideals, law, or values that anyone here lives by. So, don't do it.

Yay! Vigilantes! 3-7-77! WHOOTAGE!

And that movie was good... but it could have been better. It was better than average but a lot of thigns were just pointless. Gay cop for instance. How did his gayness contribute to the plot? I didn't. Wasn't necessary.

Actually, Willem Dafoe's character was an FBI Agent, which explains why he has ultimate jurisdiction. And yes, people would find his mysterious nature and homosexuality to be alienating, but don't you see how that kind of fits into the irony?

The two Saints were Irish, and therefore portrayed as hardcore Catholics. The FBI agent Smecker (Dafoe) was almost completely the opposite: Homosexual, athiest, apparently not Irish; and he is intent on catching them. Later on, he sees that he wants to do what the Saints are doing, and he sees that God's "Laws" are above man--and Smecker is a Federal Agent--separation of church and state!

Yeah, lol. I loved the ending. Gave me chills the first time, and definetly reminded me of Hellsing.
