Okay...I've seen this book floating around on the book racks at Barnes and Noble for years now. I finally caved in and bought it a few weeks back, thinking it would be somewhat as good as I made it out to be after looking at the cover 5000 times.
Now, I'm a quick reader. If I find myself delved into a really great book, it doesn't usually last me more than a week. But this book...
I've had it for almost 3 weeks now and I can't even push myself to keep reading it. I just passed page 180, and still, the characters have yet to make a significant advance into the plot. Okay, okay...it's a 900 page book, but...it's ridiculously boring.
The book is so complex that after reading each page, I have to flip back to the character dictionary just to keep track of what's going on. Yes, the characters come and go so randomly, that you have to peep at the character reference just to remember who's who.
Someone please give me some insight on this book. Is it more than just a girl running around having sex all the time? Is there a real plot? A twist?
