Is it true i can get the masamune?

Yeah def not possible on the PS1 version of the game, but for the PC version, I'm clueless.
 
You can get a replica Masmune but its just a key item and doesnt do anything. but you ~Can~ use a gameshark or PC game hacker - such as the JENOVA program - to place sephiroth in your party - and he comes equpied with the famous Masamune ^_^

I must quote this for it is true. they only created a certain ending for only your 9 playable characters. i couldnt see any point in the first place for even having Sephiroth on your team. Zack...I could see, but still no created playable space for him.

And Busta, thats what i meant bro, it cant be done with an U.S. PS1 FFVII copy.
I tried to get Zack, tried every cheat the net told me to try... i bet everyone here they were all modded to hell for giving false info.LOL.
But yeah, it never worked for my Playstation1, computer version maybe

you cant get zack because you NEVER see him in battle therefore you cant use him because there is no battle stance for him but if you use gameshark you can get sephy because youve seen him in his battle stance (clouds story in Kalm) you can't control him and its very annoygin because you have to get rid of vincent or maybe it depends on who is in the last place on the phs screen if you want the gameshark code read on

The code is 8009B376-FF0A. This is the code to use Sephiroth. First start the game with the code on.Then when the title screen appears turn the Gameshark off. Next load a saved game on the 1st or 2nd CD. Next go to PHS and remove the 3rd character on the party screen. Now turn the Gameshark back on and Sephiroth will appear! (You probably want to turn the Gameshark off and save your game so you'll always have Sephiroth)
**You can only play as Sephiroth on Disk 1 and Disk 2.**

im impressed. Now a second question: Why would you need HIM?
If i sucked pretty bad, id use cheats on a game that shouldnt even have cheats too. NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE! Its my own personal opinion about all Final Fantasy games. they should NOT have cheats, for you dont need them, cause you can find everything within the game.
It never made sense to me to cheat in Final Fantasy, period.
 
Off topic = Technically you can get zack in FF7, but it would have to rip the disc to a pc, use a special program to edit the sprites, and you can add Zack in, he will just have the stance of who you set it as. Although this is VERY hard to do, it can be done. (I made a giant-buster-sword-wielding Aerith once :D)

On Topic = The only way to get the masamune is to cheat. It is in the game inventory, but is set as a key item, but if one were to change that, it can be equippable :D
 
friend of mine told me you can use the masamune in battle to deal a one of 9999 damage to someone, haven't tried it personally, jydging by most of the preceding posts it wont work because key items dont like to be used in battle, but its just something that i found interesting to hear
 
I must try these for they seem interesting to me and they cause a certain....Spark in my brain. im leaving to go buy it....again in a couple weeks. then i should be set
 
I personally ONLY cheat once ive completed the game at least once
