This is a game I actually backed on Kickstarter, and I'm glad I did. (Especially after the much-needed story/dialogue patch). The whole experience was not only nostalgic but fun and emotional for me, just as a story-driven rpg should be. Developed by indonesian Indie game company Semisoft, this is their first ever enterprise into the market, and it's one that deserves far more press than it's been getting.

It touts all the hallmarks of a standard jrpg from the late PSX - PS2 age. A turn-based battle system with a QTE mechanic like Legend of Dragoon, Shadow Hearts, or Lost Odyssey. Beautifully crafted pre-rendered backgrounds, a lot of which was hand painted. CGI cutscenes to signify massive plot development. Numerous minigames, including a tactical war sidequest similar to Suikoden. One could easily do all of this and still come across wrong, just look like they're trying too hard-- but Semisoft really nailed it, especially for their first IP!

This is a PC game (available on Steam) first and foremost, but they're slowly rolling out releases for the three major consoles. Currently they just have it out on the Switch, but for a cheap price of $19.99 USD. They should be coming out with the PS4 and XBO releases within the first quarter of this year, so I'll update this thread when it happens. I just really wanted to share this with the FF fandom, because I know that a lot of people here might still have a place in their hearts for the jrpgs of the 1990's and early 2000's.

Please give it a look and try it out!

(P.S. Legrand Legacy is also on sale on Steam for $14.99!)
