I mean, seriously, 25,000 gil for a friggin grimoire? I don't even know what the hell a grimoire is....and 25,000...but just the name "grimoire" demands that I must purchase it as soon as possible...and in doing so ensuring that my characters are donning Old Navy t-shirts while fighting Bahamut's larger older and angrier twin brother.

To top it off, I see the old armor & weapons I sell back-so that I can make ends meet-are being rehashed for more on the bazaar...but they use tricky lingo and I end up buying that crap back for more than I sold it....

Just tell me what the hell it is already....I don't know about y'all...but dealing with conmen isn't my idea of fun when a man's got 6 mouths to feed in this game....

You'd think saving the world might buy you some fair dealing...
 
I know what you mean. I hated going out of the way to aquire loot.
And after I bought grimoires I was always broke.

The makers of this game have a ridiculously deviant sense of humor...Any final fantasy fan is a leveling whore, that's pretty much a given, we live for the hunt, we thrive on the hunt, we put off going to the bathroom for 3 hours for the hunt, we put the clocks in our house in the trash can for the hunt....

And these guys make it so that you have to earn the cash, thus level, then-based on what I've read (I'm just past the stilshrine of Miriam, Great level BTW) that you don't need half that leveling nor time to flip the game.

eh, there was only a couple of times i had a hard time with money.
mirror knights in the feywood gives off awesome loot when you chain them together. ;)
 
yeah i found the mirror knight way the best
you could get 200k in like 20 mins
 
This is one game where no matter how much money I have i still don't have one of everything (yet). But i am still early in the game and find myself going back over and over for more loot trying to get the majority. I second the motion on Bazaar rip offs!! W.T.F.? Grimoire's are key items that increase quality of loot that you can get from certain enemys (i think??). But as soon as I seen it i went back out on the plains and got my 25k. Don't know if its worth it yet or not.

Ooooooohmggg how I couldn't agree more.
That game has 100+ hours of time spent on hunting down animals. =x
 
there is a gromoire that is 250k and the toursol is even more expensive at 600000 gil
although i think its easy to earn gil in the game
you can get 500 k for beating behemoth king (but hes a little hard)

If you're in the UK, then it isn't out yet, right?

But then again...Lisa knows more about the game than I do, and she's never played either. =x
 
i have the import
canopic jar gives you the ability to get aracnas from enemies often but it cost 250k
 
I might *might* give this game another go...We'll see. =x

250k? Oh hell no...Ain't that some bs...

What's a toursol? Is it that impressive that ridding the world of a behemoth king is not worthy of such a prize?
 
itll take a while to beat the behemoth king

it is the most expensive wep in the game but it is the second strongest
although i thought the best wep in the game is masamune with gengi gloves

what you said is so right, if ever you don't have enough cash or are having a hard time getting past a boss, then you need to go back a level up.
 
not everybody has the time to earn gil and level up some peaple want to finish the game as quickly as posible

the whole point of RPGs is to lvl up your characs. The only way(in most rpgs) to finish the game is to have the proper lvl to beat the last boss. So i dont know what your point is by saying that people just wanna finish the game as quickly as possible. The only way you could do that is by leveling up properlly
 
as long as you have the correct equipment you could beat zodiark at lv 3 (although itll be hard)

it always doesnt depend on the level it takes talent aswell

yeah your right, but even if you have talent, if your like 10 lvls under to beat some boss in the game, then chances are you will lose.
