I went to the launch on Friday. It's my first time I've ever been to one and I'm glad it was for a Final Fantasy game. Who else went? There were some really great cosplayers there; was anyone on this forum one of them?

;____; I bet YOU got a Moogle Plushie didn't you :P

No, I couldn't go - I live in Hull :/

Nope, didn't get a plush moogle I was just out the 1st 100 by about 3 people. The launch was on Oxford street at HMV and started officially at 12:00 pm. I say officially because I actually purchased the game and official guide around 10:00 something I believe.

I know, I was well pissed off  . What made it worse is that some people got it because they cut in and another person discovered an abandoned one!! I was just panting angrily for some time.

It was packed. the queue was moving soooo slowly. The joke was is that when I first arrived there (I went with 2 of my mates) I got there quite early-around 8:25- and I was like I've nabbed myself a moogle. I spotted 3 people standing outside (my second maete had joined me by this time). We asked if this was the queue and they replied yes so we were like cool; scarily abandoned. Did a women not just walk by and ask us "are you here for the FF12 launch?" we replied yes and then she tells us that the queue's round the side down an alley. Me and my mate braced ourselves and that's when we saw the 'real' queue. We were like, woah!

I'm not sure how many copies they had. They had looaads though I'm sure.

Yeah, I'm not distraught or anything, the moogle was tiny anyways. I'm happy I got the game and the signed guide. The limited edition looks like an old-fashioned fantasy book with the judge on the front and it's made even better with the signatures of the producer and director. It was soo sureal to meet them.

Yeah, me and my mates were saying that we were definately going to the FFXIII launch as well 'cause XII's was so great. We said we'd come as the turks; and I would be Rude. I suggested we bring a cd player/tape recorder or something and just before we make our entrance we play the turks theme music and watch as everyone stops and stares. That would be sooo cool. lolol!! :D

They did something similar to that in New York City last year when it was like a week before the U.S. release of the game. People dressed up as Ashe and Vaan and Belias and junk. I didn't go, but I heard they gave out free water bottles and a very Strategy guides and stuff. Huzzah for free waterbottles!

There were loads of people dressed up. The top three were Penelo, Ashe and Montblanc. I think Penelo looked the best; in my opinions the girl did a good a really good job. She was round about the same height, had the hair and the proper outfit; she looked soo much like her. There was also a Yuna that had the hair, constume and even the exact replica staff.
