I just finished the game, I have a question

I just killed The Undying, and I was just wondering if it was normal that I could not save my game after killing him. I even waited for the credits to finish, but as soon as they were I was back at the start screen. Anyways I was just wondering if everyone else got this, thanks

I think most of the FF games are like that but I know you can save after the GBA versions and do the trials. It is a good thing so you can go back and face the last boss if you feel like it.

Perfectly normal. As with Sephiroth in FFVII I saved before going into the final area and once I'd made toast of The Undying I reloaded and went back to do some of the last side quests.

In the majority of FF games the final area is exactly what it says on the tin.
FINAL.
You can save before you enter but afterwards no chance.
I made this big mistake in FFVII, fist time I finished the game I left my PS on for about 3 hours watching the stars whizz past and coming to check it every now and again. No luck.
