i suggest that instead of putting a notification in the shout box. you should put them as a linkable image something like this:

Eh. Something like that would look kind of awkward inside the table. The main reasons why the advertisements are in the shoutbox are because 1.) it's on the top of the forum so therefore 2.) everyone sees the link.

I see the effect you want done, having a flashy image might catch someone's eye rather than a boring text message on top of the shoutbox, but something like that looks really weird to me.
Dunno.

It'll stretch out the tables too, making the page harder to load, maybe.

I don't think we can anyway. We planned having GFX Clan Banners to put under each of the clan links/sections but we weren't able to. So I doubt we'd be able to do that on the main forum itself.
