Help HP Absorb Materia..

Ok, so i pulled out & dusted off my old copy of final fantasy VII & have been playing it the past couple days. It been so long ago, that I can't remember exactly what the HP Absorb Materia means by "attacks with paired materia, absorbs HP at same time". Does it mean that you put this materia on the weapon & each hit has a chance to absorb the enemy hp or when it says "paired" does it have to be linked to another materia to do any good?

It has to be linked to another materia (summon or green - dopnt think it works with anyothers)

Pair it witk KOTR when fighting the weapons and you wont ever have to worry about healing ;D

But yeah, it absorbs HP probably a percentage of the damage caused, so I reckon its quite minimal seeing as Id absorb about 7k after using KoTR....

Yaeh thats the use of it but i really think its not very useful against bossfights and strong battles you should use the slots for better materias.

If you hook it up to a master command materia you'll absorb HP from attacking.

personally i don't find the materia to be all that useful what is useful however is is the MP absorb that at least means you can attack with or heal with materia more often thus already making up for the hp absorb
