How long did Kefka have Terra under his control?

Was it ever stated how long Kefka had Terra under his control? Was she consious and knew what was going on? (I assume no because she was very confused when she woke up)

I just wonder this because it could add to her character. (If she was under his control for four years, the manual says shes 18, she'd have the mind of a 14 year old by the time the game started and she was freed)

It's never specifically stated in the game, but the Empire invaded the Esper World when Terra was two. That's when she was abducted along with Maduin. So she grew up being controlled by the Empire. As far as Kefka placing the Slave Crown on her head, that's never specifically stated, and I don't know that there's any way you could nail down that information. However, I would guess it was relatively close to the beginning of the game, as there's only the mention of her frying 50 soldiers before the raid on Narshe. I would guess within a few months.

As far as being aware, I think it's essentially like hypnosis. You have only vague recollections of what happened, but the memories can come back over time.

I wondered about that a few times but it doesn't really give you any leads as to how long.

I think we all know it was a very long time since the Emporer had Terra since she was a baby.

I remember reading from interviews and some scattered translations that she had the crown put on her head around 15. Keep in mind though, she was kept inside the labs and out of sight, so all the soldiers would know was that she fried those soldiers because that was when they finally allowed her to leave the labs -- after being controlled.
