Anyone who can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm starting to collect all the Final Fantasy games, but I am confused on how many there and so forth. This is what I know so far:

Releases:

NES- Final Fantasy

Famicom- Final Fantasy II & III

SNES- (Remakes) Final Fantasy II & III

Super Famicom- Final Fantasy IV, V & VI

PS- Final Fantasy VII, VIII & VI
(Remakes) Final Fantasy Origins (FF I & II); Final Fantasy Chronicles (FF IV & Chronotrigger); Final Fantasy Anthology (FF V & VI); Final Fantasy Tactics

PS2- Final Fantasy X, X-2, XI & XII

Now, I have read and searched on Ebay only to find that the original 4,5, and 6 came out for the Famicom. My SNES is modded to play famicom games, but am I right to assume it is all in Japanese? Are there any English versions?

I have found versions of FF 2 and 3 for SNES. Are they the same as 2 and 3 from the regular Famicom? Is there a Final Fantasy I for SNES?

What is Tactics? Does it have any relation to Final Fantasy?

Finally, was there ever a remake for Final Fantasy III on the PS? They remade every game up to VI, but I can't find III anywhere.

You forgot Tactics Advance for the GBA. Rumor has it Final Fantasy XIII is coming out for the PS3.

I didnt forget guy, theres a lot i didnt mention. Im not interested in any final fantasy that is on a hand held console. Im just wondering about the questions i had above. If anyone can answer those, I'd appreciate it

I own the SNES version of FF II, but that's the equivalent of FF IV. SNES FF III is FF VI.

sure took a long time and good luck on collecting all of those and the italic ones arent released yet

Thanks man i really appreciate that. Im still confused on a few things. First being, what is the difference between origins and "final fantasy collection I-II" for ps?

And mainly what I want to know is about the snes ff games. I know w and 3 were 4 and 5 i think. Was there a six made for snes? And I know they were all made for super famicom, and I can even play those on my snes, but they will be in japanese. No point in playing an rpg I cant read.

Was there ever a remake of ff3 for ps?

What is Final Fantasy Tactics?

It may be easier to aim with some1 to make this easier. I know it gets confusing.

In origins, the graphics are much, much cleaner, and they don't have the "ineffective" anymore when you try to kill an enemy that's already been killed.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a strategy game, as the name implies.

So, was there actually a game made called final fantasy collections which had ff1+ff2? And there was also a game Origins that had the same games. So the difference between the two is just graphics?

If you mean that collections is an NES version, and origins is a PS (PS2 I believe) version.

theres the original 1 and 2 seperatly for NES.
Theres origins for PSX, which is both 1 and 2, on the same CD, it has an easy option for an easier game.
GBA version is dawn of souls also got an easier difficulity option and beatery.

there was 2 for NES? I've never read about it being on NES on the net, and I tried finding it on EBAY and couldnt. You sure?
