Help with HEX codes?

Hi, I would quite like the user title (the words below my username - whatever it's called) to be the same colour as this text, but I'm having a little trouble in making it so.

The HEX code I'm using for this text is #663399 and I typed that exact code (which obviously works for text) into the 'Edit Profile' section of the User CP in which you are told to if you want to change the colour of the user title. I get the following error message...

You did not enter the correct format for the Custom Title Color field. Please read the field description for the expected format.

... even though I used the same HEX code!

Can anyone help me out here? =/

This symbol "#" is not required.

Just type in the rest of them excluding the "#". Basically, you'd just put in this 663399 in the field.

Well that was a simple solution for a problem which could've been solved by thinking somewhat. Yeah... I'm quite tired.
