Hey folks. I am a strange luddite.
I had a computer in the 70s yet no VCR until 89.
I was on the internet by 87 but did not get a cellphone until very recently, still hate it.
I watched Babylon 5 on a black and white TV.
I watch streaming TV on my computer, but let my cable lapse years ago.
Suffice it to say, my technoskills are somewhat hit or miss, depending on whether a technology grabs me or not.
Therefore, I'm a little worried I'm going to buy a new flatscreen TV, bring it home, and discover it looks utterly ghastly with my PS2.
Plus, there is the chance I'll get a PS3 in the next year or so.
SO.
-- I want something HD. I want flatscreen. I don't really care for top-of-the-line, super-expensive, plasma or what have you. I just want something that actually can pull in digital TV, and that I don't have to connect to my PS2 via strange converter boxes acquired at Fry's.
-- I've heard that with some HD TVs, when you plug them into a PS2, the resolution is TOO good, and games look bad because they get jaggies!
How do I avoid jaggies?
Do you recommend LCD? Or what?
What should I be looking for, in order to get maximum compatibility with PS2, since that's my main use for my TV?
And is the answer different for PS2 versus PS3?
