If SE will make any more CGI movies of Final Fantasy?

I don't think they will. I personally think they made Advent Children because FF7, in my opinion, is overrated. It gets faaaaaaaar too much attention and overshadows many of the other Final Fantasies because of its popularity; and FFs that came after it were always compared to it. That's probably why many people think FF9 sucked, because it wasn't like FF7 at all. (And don't give me that "but Sephiroth pwns!" Puh-lease, he was in AC for SEVEN MINUTES. He pwns so hard ¬_¬)

I don't know if they can squeeze out another FF7 Sequel, but many of the other games have proper endings. FFX already has a sequel, FFX-2, and I doubt SE could squeeze out a FFX-3 in film form.

IX has a proper ending, but even I can think of a plot to make a sequel ... But since this isn't as popular as VIII, VII or X, I doubt SE would even consider making a movie sequel.

What do you lot think?

I doubt they will make any more CG films, and i too agree FFVII (although brilliant) is a bit too overrated.
Because it has so many spin-offs to it like; DOB, CC, AC etc. nobody seems to notice the other great FF out there like VIII and XI.

Yeh, i really don't get why IX is treated so badly, i think its one of the best. And yeah VII is so so good, but not the best, i don't get why everyone thinks it is the best, and the only reason i can come up with is that it was the first alot of peeps played.

Don't think there will be another movie due to the fact that the others arent as popular as VII. And they need to stop milking VII, yes a couple of years ago everyone wanted to know what happened after but now its just got stupid. It's kind of ruining FF VII.

No more sequels to Final Fantasy games! They always seem to suck anyways. The stories for FFIX and FFVIII are over and the same should have been for VII and X. We don't need any further movies or games. And it's silly because the games are already sequels to each other. Although I bet we'll see a sequel for XII.

And Rydai your right - there is an FFXII sequel - its going to be called renevant wings and its for the DS - i doubt ill buy it though as its the story of Vaan and Penelo my most despised characters (so far)

SE will probably not make another cgi movie because the other FF's don't have the HUGE fan base that FFVII has. FFVII has such a huge fan base because its the first one in the series most people played. All I know is that SE better stop with the whole sequal prequal thing and keep Final Fantasy games final.

They might attempt something like another Spirits Within in the future... but I doubt it. It'll be interesting. If you've kept up on Yoichi Wada's plans for the future, I'm not really sure where Square is going. For 2007 he wants the company to focus on ports and remakes. For 2008 he wants the company to focus on releasing new titles. He's seriously branched SE into making cellphone games. I don't have a damn clue what he's doing. He hasn't expressed any concern about Sakaguchi or the fact that Sakaguchi managed to take with him half of his senior developers from various fields. I wouldn't mind seeing some future CG films from Square but who knows what the fuck they're thinking.
